As a long time Barrie resident..I see many things that really do not benefit Barrie and area residents..Now remember..this is basically how a layman would see it.#1..Lakeshore Dr and Centennial Park being refurbished so that itay attract more out of town visitors who can be charged for parking.#2..Lakeshore Dr being used as an arterial road while Bradford Street gets very little use..#3..Condos being built everywhere!..obviously for use by out of towners who work in the GTA..and cannot afford a condo THERE. #4...Do people in Barrie working minimum wage jobs buy these $300, 000 PLUS..condos??..ahh???..#5..Barrie is just a bedroom community for the GTA..soon any history Barrie had of its own..will be torn down and swallowed up by the need to provide for people who commute to the GTA for their jobs..while Barrie residents scramble for service jobs at minimum wage to cater to them..Barrie is a lovely town! (at least it used to be)..So many things That Barrie does Wrong..Do we need Park Place??..ah..no..Jacks problem with the bridge on Donald St?.the red tape??.plete BS.
