As a longtime attendee of the KNOW Theatre, I have come to expect the very best in Off-Broadway productions, Vieux Carre was no exception. This play with its myriad of storylines and multitude of characters was unusual for the KNOW. However, under the brilliant direction of Brandt Reiter and the amazing acting abilities of the large cast of actors, this play was seamless, professional and thoroughly spellbinding in its presentation. For those who have never attended a play at the KNOW it is an intimate 76 seat theatre, which allows the attendee to be intimate with the actors and the story. In the case of Vieux Carre, you absorb the story and feel the emotions …sense the despair…and laugh at the irony and the humor…all so professionally portrayed with a fabulous cast. I highly recommend taking the time to attend this play which can be seen 6/22 at 8pm. 6/23 at 3pm. 6/28, 6/29, at 8pm, 6/30 at 3pm As a last note, I salute Dori May Ganisin who last night stepped in for an ill actor, played Mrs. Wire the owner of the rooming house.
