As a mother,grandmother,and great grandmother, it becomes my greatest fear that whether it is a traffic routine stop or a chance encounter my children by virtue of the color of their skin and ethnicity they are targeted by the peaceful my tax dollars pay to protect them. We are not safe and this reality of true is now more prevalent everyday. It has become a reality that of fear of watching the news, a fear of a late night call, or an announcement of another child dead. This for our family is true in terms of volatile energies which target African born in America to find thier way to our Sons and daughters. The question becomes what are our options? What are our plans to stop our children from being hurt?
