As a mother, my heart is broken for a dear friend of my entire family. Please pray for Mary. Below is a post made by her son Cody, just 21 years old. At 15, he beat leukemia, thanks to extensive chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and the Grace of God. For the next 5 years, he dealt with residual conditions due to the chemo, radiation and the transplant. Despite it all, he managed to graduate high school, start college, get an internship working with his favorite team, The New York Islanders and start his own company selling shirts to support cancer research. In the past year, he was dealt another devastating blow when he learned that he had a new cancer, Ewings Sarcoma. Like everything else in his short life, he faced it head on, with strength and determination and by what was nothing short of a miracle, he came up clean in scans just a few short months ago. Sadly, in the past couple of weeks, they were informed it was back...with a vengeance. His remaining time on this earth is unknown. There is nothing else medical science can do for him. Even since his post a few days ago, the prognosis has changed from a couple of months to a couple of weeks, at most. Please help me lift Cody and his mother Mary and brother Casey and their entire family up in prayer. They will need all the strength, love and comfort they can get to endure what is to come.
