As a mother of 13 - and yes they are all mine - I have answers for all of these. Yes, I have my hands full - some days more than others - so if you havent got a hand to share - keep on walking. I dont know how I did it either - keep pushing forward - pray - and sometimes just have a good cry. Once again - if you arent ready to help - MYOB Yes, I know how that happens - You know that 1% failure rate for every type of birth control? That was me. Are they all mine - of course not - I just bring them them to the grocery store with me because I love adventure. The same thing with people who state the obvious - you have s-i-i-i-x children. I just look around frantically and say Oh no! There were 8 this morning. Lots of helpers - you must be kidding - Are you done yet? - Although I dont consider it any of their business - the truth is I didnt know - since my body rejected every form of birth control it was pretty much up to God. (I get asked that question less now that I am in my 50s). If people are still asking you questions that are obviously none of their business - here are a few comebacks you might use. I checked them out at the library - they are due back this afternoon. Are you done? = NO = are you? Are they all yours or is it a picnic? They are all mine and its no picnic. When one or more are misbehaving in public my favorite - is to pretend they arent mine. Just wait until I tell your mom it usually shuts up bystanders and kids as well.
