As a newbie, I must say I am learning from this group. Until I actually started looking things up for myself, I thought veganism was about changing your diet to support the abolishment of these companies that are harming animals for food. As Im learning, I see its much more than just a dietary change. I admit, my initial reason for changing my eating habits was for health reasons, but the more documentaries I watch and books I read, my reasoning behind what I do is because I no longer want to support those companies. However, due to financial reasons I have yet to find affordable replacements for makeup, soap, deodorant, etc. Anybody know of any cheap ways I can replace these items as well?
