As a performing artist, specifically a RAP ARTIST, 5 yrs ago, none of these Event Organizers and Promoters understood the whole concept of a Rapper performing with a DJ on stage cuz they were too used to seeing only Bands with guitarists, drummers, etc perform! They never understood my genre! NOW, when I tell these same guys that Ive a Band, they tell me to adjust with just a DJ set up cuz they cant afford to arrange what an entire band requires and they dont believe in LIVE music anymore! Honestly, I dont give a damn about these guys anymore! Their ideas and business strategies are outdated as hell! Im only gonna do what I like and what I wanna do henceforth! As long as there are people who like my music, I can organize my own shows and I can show you what the meaning of what being INDEPENDENT means! #nevergiveup
