As a pilot project, the Eel Ground Health Centre is partnering with Miramichi Transit to offer a bus service for the community of Eel Ground. They will start out with one day per week and if we can get enough people utilizing this service they can later look at increasing the number of runs. But this will all be dependent on the number of people taking advantage of this service. They are looking at the following: *Pick up at 11:00am, starting at Francis Rd. to Church Road to Mic Mac road. *Travel to Miramichi Mall and to Shoppers (Bus will wait at mall in case someone wants to drop off their parcels and then bus will go to shoppers) *Bus will return at 1:00pm to Francis St. to Church Rd. to Micmac Rd. *Cost will be $3 return Tentatively looking at launching the bus route on October 15th and run to April 22nd. (28 wks ) They will be scheduling information sessions possibly during the week of the September 29th and one during the week of the October 6th, 2014. More details and advertising to follow shortly.
