As a private corporation, NS Power has only one motivation: profit. They will keep raising rates, cutting off peoples power in the winter, exporting millions from the province, and continue burning fossil fuels. Solidarity Halifax has been researching and publishing on this issue, and has organized a number of protests and events. Theyre calling for us to take NS Power back into public ownership. Check out their recently launched petition and sign up for ways to take action. As others have mentioned, the Anonymous video is great, but we all need to get involved:
