As a private land owner who has repeatedly been disrespected and ignored for the last 11 years, Im curious as to why I should be opposed to the rtr law changing? I own 50 acres beside my fathers 300 and another 100 acres we manage for out of state owners. All is posted. All clubs in the area know we dont allow them to hunt. However we continually have trespassers and poachers who intentionally release dogs on my property and stand off the 2.5 miles of road that borders our combined lands. How am I supposed to feel any sympathy towards any hunter, still or hounds man, if every contact with those that wears blaze orange is negative. Unfortunately the good will suffer from the bad. I know of one hunter in our area that I respect. He uses tracking collars, his dogs are healthy, and he always gets permission before getting dogs. But he and his traditions/heritage will be limited, restricted and eliminated if the bad continue their disrespectful and inconsiderate ways. Rtr in our neighborhood means trash left in the fields, ruts in the cover crop, beer cans stacked under tree stands violated private land owner rights. I have been cussed out, threatened and called a dang yank more times than I ever should be, on my porch of my house. The clubs have a collective of over 3,000 acres they can hunt without messing with our land, so why dont they leave it alone? I am against people who are inconsiderate, disrespectful and ignorant. Posted is 2nd grade reading level. Unfortunately for those that obey the law, those in my neighborhood has turned me against dog hunting, you wont change my mind. The dgif is always too far away, trail cam pics too blurry for identification or the police are too busy to deal with it. Rtr? What right should you have when my rights are stomped on. I own this land. I pay the mortgage and the taxes. I go to the effort to keep property lines established and posted. The last thing I want to do is see hunting restricted. I honestly believe that if the clubs gave a flip there wouldnt be an issue. But I tell u this. The time where I wish for change is over. Change your ways hixburg, hurtsville and oakgrove hunt clubs. Or I will do everything in my power to crash your playhouse. To the dog hunters that read this, how does someone like me work with these guys? I am fed up
