As a religious leader Sheikh Ahmed Gumi filters his political thought from the prism of Islam. The truth is that the President of Nigeria can visit Israel or anywhere without assaulting the sensibilities of Nigerian Muslims just like a Muslim leader can visit Saudi Arabia without hurting Christian sensibilities. Fair enough. -Aliyu Nuhu --------------------------------- Aliyu Nuhu is an educated man who looks at issues from an educated man perspective. Shiekh Gumi just looks at his from what he terms, Islamic Perspective. This is the problem with some religious leaders in Nigeria. Someone like Gumi, I dont want to believe just wants to court attention. But you never know with human beings, some people just love the limelight. Gumi messed up big time because from what I noticed Gumi did not care about others but himself. He doesnt care that his statement will offend the sensibilities of some Christians. Last time I checked, the same Gumi was refering to Christians are Kafir, an Arabic word for Pagan, in Northern Nigeria it could be a derogatory word for ignoramus, Pagan and an infidel. People like Gumi preach hate. They hate Israel. Now that Goodluck Jonathan has gone to Palestine I didnt hear him say anything. I will advise Gumi to stick to preaching. He has enough in his hand already, like sensitising Muslim youths who find cult like Boko Haram appealing. George Onmonya Daniel
