As a rule I am not a fan of green vegetables & salad, but this time of year two things I do enjoy are about: Brussel sprouts & cauliflower. Both have to be slightly underdone for my taste (cannot bear soggy veg). I have just made one of my favourite dishes - cauliflower cheese, with lots of red Leicester cheese and touches of garlic & mustard in the butter & flour sauce. Served with some carrots etc. it makes a hearty winter meal to come home to. I am a meat eater but I hardly think of it being a vegetarian dish. Yum!
