As a son of God, there is a lot to boast about. Having my sins forgiven, being joined to Gods family, having such an Awesome elder brother, having been given a new heart, having the Holy Spirit dwell in me, being empowered to live righteously, being seated with Christ in heavenly places, and knowing that I will one day have an inheritance that makes the wealthy man alive today or ever look like a starving, worn-out beggar! Oh, if only all people could see that these things are offered freely to them in Jesus Christ, for the cost of confessing with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord (that means that he rules your life). We call this believing the gospel. This is the gospel, that Jesus came to earth, lived perfectly, was crucified to pay for the sins of his people, died and was buried, his body lay in the ground for 3 days, he then rose again on the third day, with a perfect body, ascended into heaven, and now rules all things from their. When you truly confess and believe this you will be born again, which means that the Holy Spirit will come and give you a new heart whose affections will be bent upon your new family, God and the church. let those who boast boast in this, that they understand and know me, that I am the Lord; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth - Jer. 9
