As a song it beats the hell out of Francis Scott Keys terrible little cocktail napkin ditty. (When I used to feel patriotic I always thought America the Beautiful a far better anthem.) Paul Robeson was one of the good guys. Oh he was a Communist? I have Communist friends now; Id hope Id have the balls to be their friends in 1948 or 1958. We didnt do Gulags here, we relied on private industry to destroy our enemies careers. Starve them out so to speak.
