As a temper tantrum began to erupt yesterday when Brenna wanted out of her high chair and I was busy cleaning up from lunch, I very loudly cut her off and gave her a stern lecture about being patient and learning to wait, which, of course, is always the kind of wisdom that sinks in with a 2-year-old. Both kids stared at me when I finished, and then Connor leaned over to Brenna to sum up his takeaway from my lecture: Brenna… Mommys the boss.
