As a trade unionist I am not entirely shocked by the news of the death of Bob Crow of RMT. The pressure on working people is immense and their union leaders are fire-fighting like no-bodies business, so his heart attack isnt a real surprise. I met him twice, and essentially he was a nice guy. Like some have already said I didnt always agree with him, particularly when as a disabled person I was doubly impacted by some of the strike actions he lead, but he was there for his members 100% which some in other unions could do with echoing. He wasnt afraid of making enemies, many of whom respected his straight forward approach. RIP.
