As a tribute to the GREAT Joe Cocker - I always thought of him as a bit of an English equivalent of Otis Redding - I share this. Anyone who knows me knows of my love for Bruce Springsteens music, and Ive always loved this fairly obscure cover of Human Touch as much or more than Bruces own. Beautiful soul, beautiful singing, and shows off how diverse Joe was as a singer. No yelling or wailing at all, just pure grace. Plus if you watch this video you get a trippy LSD style comic odyssey of Joe subbing for Ani DiFranco! RIP you great passionate, expressive, boundary busting soul singer. They dont make as many singers of your ilk these days. Also (like Ian McLagan) apparently one of the sweetest men anyone in the biz had the pleasure to work with. The band up there just got a lot deeper.
