As a veteran of college radio (WUOG - 90.5 FM in Athens, GA) I know first hand how valuable that experience was to my career in journalism. Im sad that WRAS has been taken over by GPB. Im sad for the students who have lost a real work environment opportunity in radio and Im sad for me and the listening public in the Atlanta area. College radio is generally an excellent resource for exploring diverse music genres and for hearing music thats not played on mainstream radio. Do what you can to make your voice heard and put WRAS back into the hands of the students.
