As a vocal supporter of the war crime trial, I shared fundamental differences with various observations of Dr Piash Karim. But, that is the essence of a plural society as we must learn to harness tolerance and respect for people with whom we share grave differences in judgement. Hence, this opposition to Dr Karim’s namaze-janaza in Shaheed Minar is not only pathetic but it is ill-conceived. I feel at some level, those who are opposing it has fallen into the trap of those who are playing politics with the dead body of Dr Karim.
