As a woman, and as a person who is surviving and thriving after - TopicsExpress

As a woman, and as a person who is surviving and thriving after Breast Cancer, it is my humble privilege to create + spread awareness and start dialogues, inspire hope, and encourage others. This week, in Richmond, it is my huge honour to speak at Nite of Hope ( niteofhope/richmond/ ) a fundraising gala benefiting The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, CBCF.BC/Yukon ( cbcf.org/bc/GetInvolved/Events/pages/eventsdetail.aspx?eid=106 ) with proceeds directed to buying diagnostic equipment for Richmond Hospital. Breast Cancer is still the most common cancer in women, and I am grateful to be alive and to share my journey. My own tumour was confirmed with mammography, and with almost 700 Breast Cancer deaths in BC this year-it is personally crucial for me to tell my story in hopes that it might motivate others to get mammograms. My guitar player, JD Ekstrom, will join me for a special acoustic performance as well. Wont you join us for this magical evening April 8th! xo
