As a young boy in Eureka grade school a few miles out of Hanford California, a dreamed a dream. A dream of adventure and excitement. A dream that I might have been able to fulfill except a cruel fate of being born colorblind. I might well have been the one who would have made it into the Naval Cadets fight program. And I would have had a chance to be the one who would prove my teacher of 4 years grade school wrong when she told me, Henry, you have to quit talking about going to the moon. No one will ever be able to go there.. I had to settle for being earth bound but still had the wanderlust. I loved the sea. I loved visition other lands while in the navy. I still dream that in our present condition we will be able to mine the universe for any and all scarce material we may desire in order to let each and every citizen of earth live as if he were rich even if he is poor. Does not every child today even though his parents are poor spend much of his time texting to his friends on what would have been a million dollar computer only 40 years ago? Can anyone believe that given a chance, as did our ancesters, invest in exploration that can make an enormous profit because the universe is vast and knows no shortage of material of value to all of us some time?? Maybe I did not get to go to the moon, and maybe it was just fate that I was inelligeble but someday all of my kin, whom I preceeded wil benefit from those investors just as the world benefited from the research and investment made by my ancestors. I am still the dreamer, as I was when young. I and Wanda just recently spent 15 years exploring America. I still would sigh to go to the univese to see for myself the wonders that are out there to explore and let investors profit from and make even the poor rich. vimeo/108650530
