As a young pastor Ive had to deal with many older ministers who for some reason couldnt see themselves serving alongside a young man such as myself. In my city, everybody is well aware of the powerful things happening at Hope City yet many refuse to work with us, instead they try to duplicate us. Ive felt in my heart for a while, if we truly care about our city and the church as much as we claim to, why do we all need our own churches? Now I truly believe God has specific purposes for each ministry, but why does everybody need to be the leader? Why is there such a bias toward young ministers? Since Hope City was launched 3 years ago, several ministers approached me saying god said I need to be here and work with you... Only for them to disappear in a matter of weeks, at most months and now all of them have churches of their own with the exact same vision... My honest question... What if we all didnt feel the need to be in charge. Maybe human ego is more to blame than the devil... What if we died to self-glory... What if money and power werent part of our motives... I dream of the day when race, age, and gender are no longer walls but bridges in the church
