As a young person, and as an artist I am so inspired by the great nation that is Scotland; by what Scotland has done and does for its people and for the world, about what it stands for: freedom, fairness, openness, equal opportunity, innovation, love. I am even more excited about the opportunities and inspiration that independence can and will give Scotland. Above all the economic possibilities that independance offerse, this is a chance to put into practice even more of the things that Scotland stands for and is loved for in the world. Yes for a fully Scottish government, run by the people of Scotland, for the people of Scotland, according to Scottish values. Scotland has always been a place where tradition and openness have stood side by side, with a Yes vote we can guarantee both. With a Yes vote we can give future generations every opportunity that Scotland has to offer, directly. Equality, opportunity, fairness, inspiration, openness, security, growth... are the names of the game. As a traveling artist I regularly have the prievalge of experiencing the benefits of being a small, modern, open, center-left nation. Within my own field this is very clear. Scotland has one of the most vibrant and exciting arts scenes in the world. It wont go away one way or the other, but with independence we can and will secure greater support for arts, including music, including educational involvement - which is perhaps THE most important thing. When these choices are in Scotlands hands, Scotland can choose the right path for itself, without being dictated to. Yes for a wealthy and happy Scotland - run by its people and open to the world - a land of and for peace, art, and for people - that which matters most.
