As all my friends in Uk and Greece know I moved to the Uk last October after training jujitsu in Gracie Barra Greece for many years and getting my black belt. This is why I choose Gracie Barra Birmingham to train, since I was from that particular background. After a friendly discussion we had with Braulio estima last Saturday he made it clear to me that I cannot train in Gracie Barra Birmingham if I am teaching jiujitsu anywhere within the Birmingham region. I will not criticize in any way the way Braulio Estima manages his business, I understand he has made an investment and will protect it in any way he decides. I can however write my personal opinion. I didn’t feel in any case that teaching jiujitsu to some people would harm Gracie Barra, or the sport in general. I also want to make it clear that I did not decide to leave Gracie Barra Birmingham, but the only way I could keep training there would be to back off from my agreement with UTC, something I do not want to do. I want to thank Braulio Estima for giving me the opportunity to train with him, and being introduced to the higher Black belt level. I have great respect for him as a Professor and athlete. I also want to say to all my friends from Gracie Barra Birmingham Michael Casz Thorne, Adrian Tweed, Bradley Hill, Christian Sayer, Mikial Mir, Paddy Carmody, Nandip Singh Khera, Andy Salmon, Max Bickerton, it was great training with you guys, you make a great team, keep up the good work, I will miss you all.
