As already reported, the four day air traffic controllers strike - TopicsExpress

As already reported, the four day air traffic controllers strike has been called off this week but some unions in Europe are still staging walks outs over the next two days. Today (Wednesday 29th January) Italian Air Traffic Control personnel are on strike from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm local time, while the Portuguese controllers are on strike between 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm local time. Tomorrow (Thursday 30th January) the French Air Traffic controllers are joining, but the good news is that the UK will be working as normal. Thousands of passengers are likely to face cancelled flights and long delays with British Airways already cancelling eight flights today between London and Milan, and six between London and Rome. The airline has re-timed some other departures to avoid the strikes. easyJet has rescheduled a number of flights as these strikes will have a knock on effect to all parts of Europe so passengers are advised to check their airlines websites for the status of their flights.
