As always, no news is good news on Team Angel!!! He is doing so well overall. There is more leaking from the gtube site than we would like - requiring many dressing and outfit changes a day and causing lot of anxiety for him. But he is tolerating small amounts of gtube feeds! This means we might be able to begin reducing his TPN! Friday is clinic day where he will see transplant, oncology and the radiation oncologist. Hopefully we will have a plan for when radiation will begin, how much, how often and how long. Last we heard it would be daily for a few weeks minimum. Hard to settle in until we know when as we will move back to the apartment when that time comes. Radiation is part of the treatment that will give him the best chance at beating this cancer for good. As Ive shared before, what makes this type of cancer so difficult to beat is not getting rid of it the first time but the high rate of relapse with no options left to fight. So we move forward cautiously but with the optimism we have fought each battle with so far. God will bring him through! One day at a time. Today is good.
