As an AFRICAN-AMERICAN-SERVERD-HIS-COUNTRY-TO-PRESERVE-FREEDOM in this country. Im not surprised, but still disgusted on alive and well racism is thriving in AMERICA TODAY. Im convinced that all the marches from the 60s were in vain...All we have to show for it are worn & messed up shoes. For all the advances that have been made, We are still backwards when it comes to basic humanity and respect for one another. It why I turn to music to calm my soul. GOD has placed music on earth to heal and I wish people would open their ears to that. We Are The World was NOT a Joke, People!!! Whats Goin On was more than a groove!!!! JESUS IS LOVE is more than a tune!!! Music is Gods Love... AND LOVE IS MEDICINE( Thanks Chuckii Booker). The people in Missouri are hurting. So are the rest of us. I have a 20 year old son (My ONLY SON). What do I tell him about THE WAY OF THE WORLD, when the world shows just how cold & evil it can be? WHEN WILL THERE BE A HARVEST FOR THE WORLD??? (Thanks Chris Jasper). Its Kinda hard to FIGHT THE POWER (both The Isley Brothers & Public Enemy versions) when the end result will be death for us all. Theres NO VICTORY in that. Sly Stone used to say, Dont hate the Black, Dont hate the White...Come together and lets make it right! I am FLAT OUT afraid to be a Black Man right now... Its like were the Modern day Boogie Man(and I aint talkin about a groove). I cant even pick up a pen that an elderly lady drops and give it to her without her feeling that Im out to harm her. We are ALL connected to another person so why is it so hard to love, yet so easy to hate? I truly love & respect everything that walks the face of the earth (Except roaches). Im gonna need that love in return. I AM YOUR BROTHER!!!!! AND I COME IN PEACE!!! ... Now back to your regular scheduled lives. Brothas Lets Work It Out!!!
