As an Artist I find myself on the front line of tourism and often have to explain why my coqui is not painted green. I guess its because a lot of the sulveniers and craft that you find in the states are made in China. What would they know about the Boricua culture. This green frog is everywhere even on the boricua flag that we are so a custom to see in the states. So you grow up seeing this green frog and believe it to be the coqui that we love so much. Perhaps to many this might seem trivial. To this I say...Coño!! despierta boricua. There are no green coquis, take a look for yourself.
