As an acute lover of all of Brents contributions to the Grateful - TopicsExpress

As an acute lover of all of Brents contributions to the Grateful Dead, I dont take well to open criticism of him. Also, he doesnt get the praise he deserves.I always enjoyed hearing Just a Little Light,Never Trust a Woman, and Easy to Love You. One of the better Blow Aways is from April of 1989 at the Mecca in Milwaukee. His colorful and sometimes flat out intense playing of the keys was, to me, an addition to the music that was integral to the bands sound during the era of my Dead shows. Often he carried the band when they may have otherwise been flat. My friends and I would chat afterwords and agree that Brent was the man on some given nights, reversing what would have been lackluster with his energy, enthusiasm and magnificent playing.
