As an anarchist living in a statist world I see my current - TopicsExpress

As an anarchist living in a statist world I see my current situation as a life of contradiction. I believe one way and live another. I have made certain changes like not voting or being involved in politics. Im learning self-sustaining skills like growing my own food, making soaps, learning self defense techniques, practicing the art of bartering, etc...but I still pay taxes...lots of taxes. Taxes that are used to oppress me, my family, my friends and coworkers, and you. I despise the beast I feed and yet I continue to feed it. I feel like a hypocrite yet I press on. I go to work and earn a paycheck of fiat currency by convincing others to spend their fiat currency for my valuable product and help the government steal 8% from them on the top. After feeding the beast I despise, I go home and try to undue what I have done. I try to learn and then teach the principles of self-ownership, personal responsibility, NAP, and more to my children. I teach them that they own themselves and that no one has the authority to encroach on their basic human rights. I teach them that their basic human rights are more than the 10 or so listed on a 200 year old piece of paper, but that these basic human rights are in their heart and they know when someone is violating them. I live with this contradiction. Slowly chipping away at the statist inside me that has been there for decades. Maybe someday I can live free, but for now Ill have to be happy with the journey Im on and try to help others on their way too.
