As an athlete we often attach our value as people to our achievements. Our performance effects our mood, our decisions, our friendships, and relationships. Its a tough battle to fight when you are truly passionate about and pour lots of time in effort to a given sport or job. Its important that on the good days and bad, healthy and injured, championship wins and 2-10 seasons, personal records and technical befuddlement, or when life seems green or when its dry as can be you have to know that A. Your value as a person is not in one single activity, but B. Your value as a person can flourish if you handle those highs and lows with class, character, and positivity. Ive been chasing this 145kg snatch for over half a year. So many times missed and this make finally. A lifetime PR. Despite for my love and passion for the gym, Im so much more than a weightlifter, God has put bigger things in my life than the weights that I lift. I understand this and try not to lose sight. Yet, it was a relief to get this. Youre more than what you do, keep fighting on, and you always have the chance to improve yourself as a person through whatever youre going through. #DreamBigLiftBig
