As an avid observer of weather patterns, I knew Typhoon Yolanda was massive and strong, but I didnt expect its effects to somehow be felt all the way here in Subic--- what more along the direct path of the storm. I held off from posting a prep list since I knew it would not be necessary up here, and may cause undue concern or panic, but that does not mean I agree with all the comments since Friday that the storm was a fluke. It could seem that way from Manila, but it was never in its direct path! The lack of information does not mean all is well. In fact, we dont get as much information because until now, they dont have the means to send them. Power, Internet and telephone services are still down in the areas devastated by the storm, mind you. We have yet to see how this story unfolds.
