As an ex police officer, I know what I know, and I know it for - TopicsExpress

As an ex police officer, I know what I know, and I know it for sure. He was out of line killing that kid, and he needs to be punished. 16 hrs · Like XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXX: Michael, dont forget he was 63 or so, and almost 300 lbs. 1 hr · Like Michael Javert: Which is why I would back off and call for backup. Apparently he was high on marijuana, though I didnt hear that last night. That was conveniently left out and not at all addressed. I also believe he (M.B.) was shot in the hand and that wasnt mentioned or addressed, though explains how his blood was in the car. Now I dont believe that someone who is high, and likely mellowed out and who has a gunshot injury cant be subdued. I noticed that the P.A. did change the story last night and said that he had a graze to his hand, but I believe it was a little more than a graze. The thing is, as soon as he believed that he thought he saw someone matching the description of someone that just committed a strong arm robbery, if you want to believe that malarkey... I mean yeah, he was on video robbing the store, but if you want to believe that he got all that information that fast... Well lets assume thats true. As soon as he believed that was him, he should have called for back up. He did not. Then he confronts the guy that is 63 300 LBS, and starts hassling him about where he was walking, instead of calling for backup. While the struggle ensued, he could have rolled up his window and drove away. He did not. Not only did he not but he also stayed in the area and continued to confront him and not once called for back up. If I was in that situation, the first thing I would have done is called for backup. If I got into a struggle in my car with someone over my firearm, I would have pressed the red panic button on either one of my two way radios. That would have sent the Calvary and put a helicopter up in the air right away. He didnt do any of that. I said it before. The ONLY time youre justified to take a human life is if youre backed into a corner, and it comes down to you or that person, or if your inaction would cost another human being his or her life. In other words, to protect yourself, or someone else from death. If you or I had done that, we would have been sitting in jail all that time, we would have had been charged with murder and arraigned, a judge would have decided if we were held without bond, or released with a bond and how high it would be, then when it went to court, the jury would have been given cherry picked evidence to paint us as demons. So even if this wasnt a race issue, and perhaps it wasnt, there were still a number of things that D.W. was afforded putting him above the law, and thats what I have a problem with. Just because someone is given a badge, a gun and a check by a village idiot, does not give them special rights that puts the above the law, or get away with murder. Well, it should not. In this case, and so many like it, does and that needs to stop. It also doesnt justify the rioting and the looting, but those that are poorly educated and are ignorant and selfish, I believe are also trying to make a statement. It is wrong for them to destroy and steal property of people that have nothing to do with it, and thats what makes it so ignorant. They dont know any other way to get peoples attention. Sadly, until someone wakes up and does something about the corruption that is clearly in Ferguson, Saint Louis City, and parts of Saint Louis County, the things that are happening will keep happening. And like I said, it might not even be a race thing, but it sure looks that way and thats how the media keeps drumming it up.
