As an organization (SOS: Save Our Shelter Animals) that advocates for companion animals, we continue to be appalled by the illegal actions and obvious lack of training and instruction given to those charged with protecting the public. Killing someones pet who is in no way causing a threat or endangering anyone, with the obvious made up LIE, of I felt threatened, as justification, has become routine and commonplace. We, as the taxpaying public, demand better from police, who have become trigger happy killers, instead do compassionate enforcers of the law.
