As believers, we live in two kingdoms. On one hand, we live in - TopicsExpress

As believers, we live in two kingdoms. On one hand, we live in this world with all of its physical challenges and demands while, on the other hand, our citizenship is elsewhere. The first commandment of God is; You shall have, no other gods before me. So, there are other gods in our lives but, Almighty God, Creator of everything, demands preeminence in our lives. Isnt it strange, how they conflict with one another? God says; You shall have no other gods before me but, allows you to choose Him or not. The world , on the other hand, if it had its way with you, would deny you the freedom of choice...and, demand all your time and energy and, in fact, is working toward that end, by attempting to take every reference to Almighty God...Ruler of all things, out of our lives. The one thing that stands out, to me, is Gods esteem, in all of this, is secure enough that He allows us to choose. After all, His laws govern everything in our lives and, effect everyone equally. As the scripture says, He; ...is no respecter of persons. Positively or negatively, His principles are applied to our lives, based on where our heart is. The one thing that I am experiencing is, the closer I desire to walk with Him, the more at conflict, I with the world but, the close I choose to reflect the worlds standards, the more Im in conflict with the Will of God, in my life. It isnt an easy path to walk but, during this journey, Ive watched as the fruit of the Spirit have grown. Maybe I should say; some of the fruit because, I recognize that they dont all show up, as pronounced as some of the others. Its good to know that God isnt done with me yet and that, as long as I will submit to Him , He will continue tools and shape me. He has preeminence in my life and, as long as I live in this world, life will continue to present its share of challenges but, Jesus said; ...and lo, I am with you always...even, unto the end of the age. God said; I will never leave you, nor forsake you. There are so many ways that He assures us of His eternal presence in our lives. Seek first His Kingdom and, His righteousness and, all these things shall be added unto you. Delight yourself in The Lord and, He will give you the desires of your heart and, so many more. Happy Sunday, everyone! In Christ, John
