As disappointing was the USA loss yesterday against Belgium, their heroics made them come away as huge winners. Not everything in life is winning as we see it. Their character and bravado on the field made their performance historic, greater than that of Belgium who beat them. And for me, one added bonus was to discover that the man of the match, the goal keeper uber-meister Tim Howard is unashamed of his faith in Jesus. In a world which is ever more hostile towards followers of Jesus, it is encouraging to know there are others who walk the walk and talk the talk. 16 dramatic saves throughout the game put him in the World Cup history books. But his unashamed confession in the Uber Uber Meister, is just awesome! What a great example of gumption and spirit and faith! Even though they lost, amazingly they won, since many will consider Jesus because of this guys unashamed faith.
