As estimated 179,000 workers (mostly self-employed, and not including those working in agriculture) are no longer working in Sierra Leone since July/August chiefly due to Ebola, according to a series of phone surveys carried out by the World Bank. The study also found that a much lower proportion of women in the capital said they had made post-natal clinic visits than in 2013.
