As everyone around me in London and across many parts of the world are getting ready to celebrate the New Year with jolly happy plans , I have plans too with my husband and son... A jolly cheerful plan to celebrate... But in my heart... Im thinking deeply and sadly of how my own mother, family, neighbours and entire people of Gaza will be spending New Year eve in the dark as Israel once again causing the severe shortage of electricity in Gaza , not to mention the ongoing suffering in Gaza due to Israeli / Egyptians indiscriminate and illegal blockade on Gaza .... I just want my people back home to have the chance to be happy and free to do whatever they want when they want as they want... Just like you and me being lucky enough to live in a free world ... My mother, Gaza and all Palestinians are only humans ... Oh yes they do belong to human race , except theyre super super resilient people .... But they deserve humanity, dignity, love and true freedom ... I know my post here will not help my mother or my people back home, but rather itll just help me feeling a little better by trying desperately to connect with them while Im this far far away .... But who knows.... Perhaps a new year will bring a new hope ... Who knows???!... We cannot stop dream, hope & resist ....
