As experiments go I think this one could be chalked up as a success. When the music in Rockus was handed over to the New Hellfire Club Glasgow and changed from the well known hits of the big stars to the music of independent artists (mostly local) no one batted an eye. Its testament to the quality of the music that there was no dip in quality and the patrons continued to enjoy themselves. Rockus deserves a huge pat on the back for going along with this. Im not sure I can think of another bar that would hand over two hours on a busy friday night to the promotion of unsigned bands as they did. So hurrah for Rockus. Also it was pretty damn cool to be sitting having a pint and the music in the background ranged from The Red Eyes to Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5. A full playlist will be upped and all the bands and artists who were played can enjoy knowing that on a cold and wet Friday in the lead up to x-mas they were part of keeping the spirit of independent music alive.
