As far as I know, Im the only person in my family to graduate college with a BA, though my mother came close. Next year, Ill have my EJD. I think education is extremely important, and expect all three of my boys to pursue professional degrees. I dont know why my family is/was so education-poor. I would think the value of it is obvious, but there it is. Does it seem to you, like it does to me, that families tend to stay at a certain level of educational attainment? Im out to defeat that rut. That inertial sort of Appalachian aversion to academics.
