As far back as one of my undergraduate degree studies in Social Work, I did research on the black families in America. It was presented that after the days of slavery and the Civil War, the black families were struggling because of the lack of fathers in the home. The research showed, however, that by the 1950, The Black families were very strong mostly because of the power of the God loving black women in those homes. Now days, there is another mass exodus of the men from the black homes. However, the women, and the influences brought into the homes, is not based upon moral ideology as it was. Sorry but Bill is right on with this. However, the truth of it is not CAUSED by race. It is just more prevalent in places where the hope has been sucked out and the truth has not been pumped into the despair.
