As future managers, it is imperative for students of the MBA program to understand the wide IT- enabled business platforms available today... During the months of June and July, MBA students of Faculty of Management Studies have been working with various organizations on summer projects. All students of the MBA batch of 2013-15 were picked up by organizations for various functions and verticals. One such company to have selected students from FMS is Medical Second Opinion (MSO). The company works through a website (medicalsecondopinions), to provide effective solutions for the healthcare needs of patients. MSO offers health care solutions with speed and convenience. As a user, one may create an online health record which will enable subsequent updates. Users may even get expert advice from a panel of doctors with MSO. For this purpose, the interns from FMS have been working towards tie-ups with various organizations, corporate houses, resident welfare organizations etc. On July 12, 2014, an event was organized by MSO at Gymkhana Club, Sec. 15, Faridabad, in association with QRG Central Hospital. A free health check up was done for club members. Basic health information was recorded for those who attended the event, and suggestions were made accordingly for the areas which need to be taken care of. Blood pressure, body weight, head ache and eye sight were the major areas of concern. Most of these may be attributed to mechanical urban lifestyles. Some glimpses:
