As golf course hazards go -- these are big, mobile and fuzzy. Duffers at Wyomings Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis club often encounter bison on the course. This spring, a herd of the one-ton beasts have made themselves at home on the courses nearly 280 acres. Jeff Jenson, the course assistant superintendent, says the damage to the greens can be a big headache. State wildlife officials sometimes try to shoo the bison away with sprinklers or even the noise of a crinkling trash bag. But in the end, when it comes to bison versus golfers, club officials tell the Jackson Hole News & Guide the bison get their way. Scott Thackrey
