As hackers from other governments become more skillful and daring, our very infrastructure is threatened. The NSA predicts it is only a matter of time before something very traumatic happens. Much of the USA power grid is owned by private companies, and they are not sufficiently investing in protective security. So, what could happen? Well, imagine entire states losing their electricity for consider periods of time. Or air traffic radar going off line. Or subways simple stopping in their tracks for days at a time. Its on the way. As for Sony, imagine that happening to many other companies, outside of the entertainment world. What would the impact of a true cyber war? Was the attack on Sony an act of war? Thats an open question that is being debated currently.
