As he lifted his pointer finger and explored the curves and bumps of my face, I had no idea. He smiled down at me as the light poured down on my face from the street lamp in the parking lot where wed decided to talk in my car. He touched me in a way that was curious... boy like... small. Then he grinned, I dont know how much you know about art... and about shapes and balance... but youre damn near perfect. I felt my cheeks grow red. It had been one of those nights... one where you knew that something was about to change forever. Wed only been friends before this, but the romantic talk and the way that Id put my head on his chest a few days before was looming- unspoken- in the air. When I answered my phone, he said, Im going 40 miles an hour down Western... Dont do that... I breathed, my heart racing with fear for him... Wed sat and talked about so many things in an hour and a half. It was cold and dark outside the starbucks that was a common meeting ground and we retreated to the car for warmth and protection from the wind which was picking up. When Id put my head on his chest just a few days prior, hed groaned, I want you to love me ... so bad. and my heart sped up. Regardless of how different, wrong, or weird this all was something about it felt nothing but right. And what was even more strange was that there was no confusion about it. It was simply right. I sat up and listened to him ramble on about some other romantic notion, and then I could no longer stand it, Something about that moment in time no longer lent itself to any form of patience. Screw it! I growled and I grabbed his face and kissed him. His first ever kiss. He was nineteen, and I was twenty one... And weve been together ever since. Happy Anniversary David Slain... ^_^ I love you sooooo much more than I could ever express... or show... or speak... or give. You are my soul tie, and my lover, and most importantly... you are my best friend. Who else would I possibly shoot nerf darts at zombies with? :) I love you
