As i promised , i noticed many things at the airport .... 1 . the counter for the wheelchair in kolkatta is not there . someone needs to go the gate and make a call. In delhi there is a desk where one request for a wheelchair . Delhi airport has a signboard for disabled passengers . Kolkatta airport has happily forgotten to put up any signs for the disabled . 2. the washroom doors are heavy .if the person is using a battery operated wheelchair it will b virtually impossible to do so independently . this is in both the airports . 3 the wheelchairs are comfortable , but some are too narrow for the aircraft . I travelled by indigo. there was a lady with an amutated leg . the air hostess were very helpful. Infact she was taken to the wash room with help . the airhostess went in with her to assist her . The wheelchair was brought right to the front seat for her ... There were four wheelchair passengers on that flight . each passenger .was given adqucate assisant ...
