As i went to bed last night, reflecting on the past years event , and all the things in my life that transpired , good & bad, i began to realize i do have many things to be thankful for, though i truly admit i may not always realize that. My father is 86 , a cancer survivor, with still many health issues, but, he is still here today. My mom who is 79 & has some serious short term memory loss, is healthy otherwise , with the normal aches & pains for her age, but again, still here with us. I have two healthy grown children with good jobs , their own home & wonderful spouses. We witnessed the wedding this year of our beautiful daughter & her handsome husband. God has blessed us with two beautiful healthy grandchildren that we adore more than life itself. My husband & i have been married many long years & have seen many a Thanksgiving togeather shared with family & friends. With the economy being what it is today, & so many people without jobs & money, we consider ourselves very lucky to have a job to go to everyday. Though are home is not brand new , & nothing too fancy , neither are our vehicles, we have a roof over our head, heat in our house, always plenty of food, & transportation to get us to & from. we live in a quiet , sleepy little town, surrounded by farms & cows !!! We dont travel to exotic places much, but we get the chance to travel a few times a year to our favorite destanations. I have the pleasure of being surrounded everyday by several good friends at work whose company i so enjoy ( you know who you are) & they keep me silly, but grounded & i thank them for that. So, with that said, I realize though life may not be perfect everyday, i do have a lot to be thankful & will try to remember that as i go about my busy day.
