As if it wasnt enough that the god John Barth was born this day, - TopicsExpress

As if it wasnt enough that the god John Barth was born this day, but another who was God and Devil was born as well, and if that was not enough, it happened again in England, this time with a part time heavy metal musician. I am tempted to just say Happy birthday, Vincent Twice, Vincent Twice, and make some crack about the Price of fame, but when I think of the scope of his achievement, from Sir Walter Raleigh to the inventor of Edward Scissorhands, it seems to my cinematic saint worshipping shakesperean soul that Vincent Price rates godhead. If he doesnt, he still was his Prophet as Joe Smith, the Master of the World as Robur (aka Nemo) and Shiva, the Destroyer of Worlds and The Last Man on Earth Dr. Robert Morgan, whom I first saw first saw unleash the Vampire/Undead Apocalypse on US when I was seven. No other such compares, and it precluded my appreciating both non-medical and zombie imitations (Heston was okay, but if anyone mentions Will Smith.....) He was also explicitly the Devil in The Story of Mankind The Devil Among his MANY other roles, dramatic, comic, horrific, self mocking, or merely kitsch, I can not single out one other for special mention, so I proceed to wishing a happy birthday toone who prospered under his direction, and if never as divine, was as diaboloc, having played Death itself, repeated iterations of the iconic self resurrecting Dracula, and the Fallen Angel, Saruman, Christopher Lee. https://youtube/watch?v=ibnpEk4hdjo
