As indicated by previous posts, Ruth and I had a busy weekend attending lectures. After Fridays lecture we had the opportunity to sit down with the attendees for dinner. Towards the end of the night, something disturbing was addressed. A huge name and author in the outspoken public atheist community, an author Ruth and I have been quite fond of, has been accused of despicable behavior. For more information, read the attached article and original post by P.Z. Meyer. As it stands, the allegations are damning. This has not seen its day in court, and it is important to remember that before accepting the accusation as absolute fact. The evidence, as presented, point to this horrific incident as factual and frighteningly common with the accused. Suffice it to say, Ruth and I are beyond mortified by this realization and will be monitoring the progress on this case.
