As is usually the case at this time of year, the amount of instability that this system will have to work with is still in question. Right now, it appears that the instability with this system will be stronger than what we thought and saw with the Halloween event...but the wind shear may be slightly less with this one compared to the Halloween storm. Nevertheless, severe weather looks like a good bet Sunday evening in southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Review your safety plan now so that when the storm strikes, you will know exactly what to do. Be sure your NOAA Weather Radio is in good working order. The storms will be fast-moving so you may need to react very quickly. Below is a graphic from the Storm Prediction Center.
